Summer camp schedules, play dates, work deadlines, upcoming trips, mounding laundry, and dishes—it can all feel like a little much. We delight in the constant rays of sunshine, but sometimes, we just want to read our books in peace and quiet while the air conditioning gently brushes past our faces.
I sometimes feel like I don’t have enough hands to do all the things. And sometimes, I feel like I’m not enough to make it all happen.
But as soon as we chase the ice cream truck for that one win for the day—we can fight against the narrative. To our kids, we can be everything. We’re the ones who give them that best day. It’s enough.
This month, see where the word “enough“ takes you. Explore some thoughts, fears, or even write a new story on what it means to be enough. Better yet, use Adrienne’s resource, “Writing Across Genres,“ and explore another genre.
