December: Contrast

For whatever reason, I grew tired of my playlist and decided to turn on the radio while waiting to pick up my kids from school. Old school right? And speaking of old school, Alanis Morissette's "Ironic" piped in through the speakers. I closed my eyes to listen to her lyrics.

"It's like rain on your wedding day."
"It's a free ride when you've already paid."

I didn't think that the situations were ironic, but they certainly contrasted one another. There was beauty behind the contrasting images.

For this month, think of two contrasting items, situations, or anything else to juxtapose together. How do they highlight one another? How do these two things repel one another? For example, think of a time where your house was an absolute disaster, but you found yourself scrolling through Instagram. Another might be a Pinterest crafting fail with your kiddo that turned into a beautiful moment.

Contrast and highlight to see the beauty in motherhood.
