November: Novel

You just have to make it past the first five minutes.
— Jenn Batchelor, from the essay "The First is the Worst"

When was the last time you tried something new for the sake of trying something new? Familiarity is comfortable. But what can be gained from trying something you aren’t used to?

Write about a time you tried something new. You could also try a new form/genre/POV with your writing.

As Jenn so eloquently states in her essay, the beginning is always the hardest part.
