June: Permission Slip

But it’s in the practice of giving ourselves permission that we learn to know right where we belong.
— Sonya Spillmann in "Permission"

In Sonya’s essay “Permission“, she paints a picture that every mom knows so well—there’s always so much to do and so little time to be ourselves. Or is there?

Between dirty dishes, laundry, and keeping up with all things summer entertainment, we, as moms, don’t give ourselves a moment to breathe. This month, think of a permission slip that you would give yourself. What are you letting yourself do? And if it doesn’t turn out perfectly, what do you learn by practicing giving yourself permission?
