In this podcast episode, we speak with Quina Aragon about her books, her poetry, and her obedience in doing the next thing that God has laid before her in her creative journey.

Quina Aragon is an author and spoken-word artist. Her work has appeared in lots of places, including The Gospel Coalition, Risen Motherhood, Journey Women, The Witness: BCC, and more. She resides in Tampa, FL with her husband Jon and daughter, Jael. They are members of Living Faith Bible Fellowship where Quina serves a small group leader. Quina’s first children’s book, Love Made, is a poetic retelling of the creation story. Her second book just released in February of this year, titled Love Gave, which tells the story of the incarnation and the good news of Jesus Christ in language kids can understand. You can check out Quina’s books or follow her on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. She’s also got many of her spoken-word pieces on YouTube

Quina recently announced her first book for adults, a 100-day devotional on the love of God, acquired by Trillia Newbell at Moody Publishers. Hear our interview with Trillia on what it’s like to be an acquisitions editor here.

A quote from this episode:

On motherhood as inspiration: “It’s like you are reliving life through a lens of wonder and joy and excitement. The inspiration has been nonstop… I feel like there’s been more opportunities missed than made, but that just shows how much inspiration kids bring to us. They teach us wonder and glory in ways that we as adults can kind of forget.” — Quina Aragon
