Where the Light Is with Kristin Young
We have all heard it said, when capturing an image through photography, one must “go where the light is.” In Episode 88, we have the opportunity to chat with writer and photographer, Kristin Young, who lives out this phrase with every fiber of her being in her art, her theology, and her home. Bio: Kristin Young embraces many roles as a theologian, teacher, writer and fine arts photographer. She feels a firm calling to encourage others to look for God’s hope and beauty while living in the shadow of heaven. Kristin blends her love for biblical justice, writing and visual arts in her journalistic and documentary approach to photography. Fully embracing the motto “shoot what you love and do it often,” Kristin is a staunch advocate for personal projects as creative outlets. She and her husband, Bryant, who played fourteen years with the San Francisco 49ers and is a Pro Football Hall of Famer, have six children. Their oldest son, Colby, is tucked away in Heaven after a two-year fight with brain cancer. Raised in Germany as a proud Army brat, Kristin currently resides in Northern California.
