About Jerrell.
Jerrell is a stay-at-home mom to three girls (Harper 6, Avery 4 and Ella 3) plus a fourth baby girl due in June 2022. She has been married to her husband, Sam, for seven years and they live in Northern Virginia. Jerrell writes about motherhood in the (tiny) margins of life and reads as many books as her children will allow. Why are you excited about this book?
This book has been on my TBR list for nearly two years and I am so excited to finally read it. I make it a point to diversify the authors on my bookshelf and it’s surprising how difficult it is to find novels about young Black women that are also written by young Black women—even in 2022. So I’m excited to add a new book to my shelf and introduce a new author to the Exhale community!
