Why are you excited about this book?

In a season of despair in my own life, Makoto Fujimura’s words and thinking brought me hope. Fujimura sees the arts as a pathway to beauty and healing, even (especially!) in places where everything feels broken. Culture Care speaks to our current moment of division and polarization by encouraging us to seek the common good and give generously through our work. I’m excited to apply the concept of culture care specifically to our role as mothers and artists, and to discuss the practical tips Fujimura offers.
